EASTER BUNNY BASKET WITH DI GRIEG

Join Di Greig for a fun-filled workshop where you will create this adorable Easter Bunny Basket. This workshop involves all sorts of hand sewing methods: applique, embroidery, and piecing.

MAKE YOUR OWN LAMPSHADE WITH DI GREIG

Join us for a hands-on lampshade workshop and turn beautiful fabric into a one-of-a-kind piece for your home. For beginners and experienced sewers alike.

TRISH HARPER

                      

Trish is an accomplished fabric technician and pattern maker with a speciality in hand piecing and broderie purse. Trish is a regular face here at GJ's and has a large following of dedicated class attendees. Join Trish to learn to hand piece and appliqué.

  • Every Wednesday 10am to 12.30pm - $40

SIT'N'SEW
Our casual sewing group runs every Tuesday from 5pm - 9pm. Join us with your own project for a fun night of laughs and stitching (and sometimes a sneaky glass of wine) $10 per person (pay instore).

SIT 'N' SEW THURSDAY
A casual sewing group runs every Thursday 1pm - 4.30pm. Join our friendship sewing group to use our space to sew your own projects. Please call to confirm space. $10 per session, pay on the day.

CHRISTINE VLASIC 

This is a beginner to intermediate patchwork class for people who would love to learn to sew. 

Student choice in regards to size of project. It can be a cushion, baby quilt or a lap quilt. You will be taught all aspects of basic quilt making. Bound to be a fun experience, one that will begin a lifetime of quilting.

Please make yourself familiar with your sewing machine and that it is in good working order prior to attending your class. Given different level of skills, sewing pace and commitment to homework between classes, the project may not be completed by the end of the session. However all attendees should have the knowledge needed to complete the project at home.

ANNA BASTIAN


Anna is a Melbourne-based mixed media artist with a special love for embroidery and vintage textiles/materials. She works from her home studio creating whimsical, nature-inspired pieces under the studio name Anna Victoria.
Anna's work blends fabric, embroidery, embellishment and illustration, with a focus on mindful hand-stitching and a deep love of the creative process. She believes passionately in creating warm, inspirational spaces where students can come together to learn, connect and find their own creative voice in their work. 
Anna has designed a number of very special workshops teaching several of her current designs. These workshops are perfect for creative enthusiasts who enjoy one-day projects and playing with new techniques and materials. Some sewing experience is recommended, but not essential.

KERON LEE - THE COLOUR GURU

Make the fabulous Handwork Bag with Keron. This handwork bag is a delightful piece to keep on your side table by your chair that you can grab at a minute's notice to take your current handwork project with you on the go. You can machine or hand embroider and embellish as simply or as intricately as much or as little as you like. These bags make beautiful gifts for creative friends and family.

IRENE BLANCK

Join Irene to learn all the appliqué tricks and tips she has mastered over the years. If you are too afraid to tackle applique projects, then this is the class for you. See how much fun you can have succeeding with appliqué techniques with Irene.

JUDY NEWMAN

Judy Newman is a quilt designer, teacher and fabric designer, known for her work with Devonstone Collections and her own brand, A Very Fine House. She designs quilt patterns, teaches workshops, and hosts retreats, often traveling throughout Australia and Internationally. Judy is also a co-host of Curated Quilt Retreats with Margaret Mew.

Judy Newman has been designing quilt patterns and teaching for many years. It is with great joy Judy pass on her skills and encourage budding quilters in the beautiful craft.

Join Judy in this one day workshop at GJ's, its sure to be a great day of new skills learned and new friends made.

General Class Information & Cancellation Policy 


  • Full Payment of class fee is due and required at time of booking to secure your place. Please note, the class fee covers your tuition & refreshments only. All other cost are in addition to this fee unless otherwise noted.


  • Class fees will be refunded if a class is cancelled by GJ’s


  • Classes can be transferred to an alternative date, if available, at least 14 days prior notice of an inability to attend .


  • If cancelled 14 Days or more prior to class, a 30% processing fee will be retained and a store credit for remaining fees will be issued


  • If less than 7 days notice is provided, no refund will be provided.


  • No refunds are available for International or Interstate tutors.


  • Please ensure that all class requirements are brought to your class.
